Ethics

Participants will gain an understanding of major ethical issues, standards and their application to clinical settings especially in relation to technology; the ability to reflect upon ethical standards in their personal and professional lives, especially how cultural differences impact ethical decision making; the ability to apply concepts of confidentiality; and, the knowledge and skill necessary to provide informed consent.

Three CE units are available for social workers and counselors. 

About the Presenters: Earle Ruhnke, Jr, PsyD is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of Illinois. He supervised doctoral students at The Josselyn Center for over 12 years, is an Associate Adjunct Professor at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and Pacific Oaks College and owns a private practice, The Family Stress Clinic. Dr. Ruhnke has been involved in researching and training regarding professional ethics for over 20 years.
